The kettle with the little bird designed by Michael Graves is presented in a new, smaller size and new colour yellow, taken directly from its creator's historical palette. Developed in the early 1980s, it has spanned four decades, always presented in new and fresh versions: an object that has never ceased to amaze, intercepting consumer tastes the way only an icon can.
Iconic Italian design house Alessi is world renowned for its quality and original designs in homewares and furniture. Alessi products are created with a design excellence and an artisanal eye for detail. Founded in 1921 in Omegna Italy the brand has continued to grow and widen its range of functional household items, designed with a creative and artistic twist.

For Alessi, this kettle represented a meeting of great design and mass production methods, a combination that Michael Graves worked hard to achieve, applying his personal visual code which fused influences from Art Deco to Pop Art and even the language of cartoons. This object appeared in the movies: Mr. Crocodile Dundee (Crocodile Dundee, P.Faiman, 1986), Ghost (Ghost, J.Zucker, 1990), Alice (Alice, W.Allen, 1990), Amatemi (Amatemi, R. De Maria, 2005) and Per una notte d'amore (Per una notte d'amore, V. Sindoni, 2008).
