RIVSALT KITCHEN ORIGINAL EXPERIENCE | HIMALAYAN SALT + GRATER

Rivsalt is an experience, a new way of adding salt to food. Natural Himalayan salt is grated onto the dish with a Japanese stainless steel grater of highest quality. The salt and grater become the centerpiece of the dining table when placed in the accompanying desk stand made from untreated natural oak.

RIVSALT product range is designed by Swedish entrepreneur and designer Jens Sandringer. Jens came up with the concept while dining at a Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant in Bejing, where the master chef grated salt over the dishes using a large grater and big salt rock.

A unique experience which sparked the initial product idea complementing the rise of Scandinavian foodie and design trends. The original RIVSALT product was launched in Sweden 2013.

    care instructions | Your Rivsalt stainless steel grater is comparable to a quality chef's knife. To keep it sharp, shiny and rust free, wash your Rivsalt grater regularly by hand using a mild dishwashing liquid and water. Use a brush to remove any loose salt or dirt. After washing, rinse with water and dry carefully and thoroughly with a towel. Not dishwasher safe.

  • We dispatch any online orders Monday to Friday… any orders placed over the weekend or public holiday will be sent off on the following Monday (or working day).

    We generally post all our orders via Australia Post or TNT – although sometimes we use another carrier if it is a better fit.

    Once your order is shipped we will email you a tracking number so you can follow the journey of your parcel.

  • We offer a 7 days change of mind refund policy for online fashion and homeware purchases. Please notify us within 7 days of the purchase via email at info@livingbydesign.net.au for authorisation.

    All return delivery costs will be the responsibility of the customer. All items must be returned in the original condition. If the item is not returned in the original packaging, a 20% re-stocking fee will be applied. Any faulty items will be replaced, please notify us within 7 days of the delivery of the item.
