Living By Design launched its Adelaide Hills flagship store in March 2015 – an evolution of the iconic Hills shopping institution Balhannah By Design, established in 1999.

destination stores – the tranquil seaside escape of Port Elliot, world renowned wine and tourist destination the Barossa Valley, holiday destination Victor Harbor and most recently our new city store located in Kensington Rd, Norwood.
Owners Tim and Rebecca Bowring have spent the last 10 years in London – Tim as an Institutional Stockbroker and
Rebecca as Financial Controller for well known brand Top Shop. Together they now own and manage the five
Living By Design lifestyle stores.
Bringing a collection that works this well together is no easy feat. Tim travels the world sourcing pieces from amazing and interesting locations…Europe, Denmark, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Japan and of course locally here in Australia.
The lifestyle stores offer everything you need to transform your living spaces; exclusively sourced furniture ranges, hand-woven rugs, sofas and cushions and Australian woven throws.
An extensive home-kitchen section includes Danish glassware, copper cookware, Cuisinart electrical, marble, wood and metal accessories.
Among the huge array of products, you'll find beautiful, natural cleaning products for the home, made in Australia, along with unique ranges of body care and designer scented candles.
To round off a beautifully curated collection is current fashion ranges all year round. Some of the best designers Australia has to offer as well as sourcing some unique designers from overseas. The fashion collections are contemporary, exciting and feminine.

Recently renovated into a shopping destination, the Living By Design space has a real industrial feel, with lots of space and huge ceilings… and has evolved into a truely beautiful space to wander through and ponder the surrounds.
