Our beloved Maland Rattan and Maland Porto armchairs were recently featured in the July issue of House & Garden! The Living By Design Maland Black + Rattan armchairs feature in Inside Story, written by Sue Wheeler and photographed by Prue Ruscoe. The article highlights the stunning renovation of a contemporary coastal, four-story Sydney home.
This remarkable home includes a garage at the top level, followed by the main entry and living areas, a bedroom level leading to a terrace pool, and a basement for storage. At its heart lies a generous open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area that flows seamlessly onto a refurbished deck with breathtaking views. This is where our elegant Maland Black + Rattan chairs shine.
Emma, from the interior and building design studio Partridge Daniels, who led the project, shared insights into the design philosophy:
“While the interiors are modern, they’re also timeless, ensuring they won’t date quickly. The natural surroundings inspired the palette, which is primarily muted, though we’ve been more adventurous with colour in smaller spaces, such as the deep blue tiles in the powder room. We’ve added layers of interest with texture, natural stone, and marble.”
Additionally, our Maland Porto Sling Armchair in White Leather was featured in House & Garden’s The Source. Featured alongside pieces perfect for open-plan layouts, the clean lines and muted neutral tones of the Maland Porto armchair exude a sense of casual elegance, perfectly complementing the airy, relaxed vibe of modern living spaces.
