Did you spy our new Carson Lincoln Curved 3 seater sofa in the Christmas Gift Guide edition of the Jones...
In the November edition of Home Beautiful, the feature "Renaissance Red," styled by Lucy Gough, encourages readers to "embolden your space with a rich, regal red, enhanced by gilded accents and contrasting pops of white, for a modern twist on stately elegance." Our Carson Collection in Terra Rust was selected for inclusion.

"The unexpected red theory swept through the world of interiors this year, suggesting that a random pop of red in any room can surprise and delight. Renaissance Red elevates this concept to a regal and sophisticated level. 'Specifically, this is a deep claret that has experienced a renaissance,' shares Elle Lovelock, Home Beautiful editor-in-chief. 'It’s a rich, burnt burgundy reminiscent of colors seen in 15th and 16th-century paintings.' Instead of adding just one red accent to your space, aim for a more enveloping, bold, and cosy integration."
To avoid overwhelming the space, create balance and harmony by coordinating the specific shade of red with the undertones in your timber flooring. “This doesn’t necessarily mean matching the undertones exactly, but rather finding a tone that enhances the red without clashing,” explains Nicole Canty, product manager at Choices Flooring. For warm-toned reds, like terracotta, she suggests timbers with complementary undertones of honey or amber. For cooler reds, such as burgundy, shades of grey, dark brown, and taupe help to balance the intensity of the red.
After that, it’s all about the embellishments. “Consider incorporating accent colors that complement both the red and timber, such as gold or brass, to tie the entire palette together,” adds Nicole.
