A low slung arm chair from our mid-20th century Safari inspired range, in which we have achieved a sturdy design with exceptional durability + enduring character. Both the salt and pepper cow hide and teak frame exude elegance and individuality, making each chair unique in character.
The hardwood frame supports a crafted salt and pepper cow hide leather seat embellished with understated copper stud trim, which is both comfortable and practical, set at the perfect angle for a relaxed experience.
This product is made from natural hide, there will be differences between the product pictured vs the product you receive, as no two natural hides are exactly the same. Appearance, colour, tone, markings & patterns can vary significantly between light vs dark. Small lines or other markings on a natural hide are variations, they are not faults or defects, they are a part of the unique charm of a natural hide product.

DELIVERY TIMES :
We ship our furniture items from Monday to Friday. In-stock items will be dispatched within 7-10 business days from order via one of our third-party freight partners. Delivery timeframes are estimated to be 3-10 days after dispatch, and tracking details will be supplied where applicable.
DELIVERY DETAILS :
Fragile, medium and large items will be delivered to the front door strapped and shrink-wrapped on a pallet to ensure they arrive in optimum condition. It is the customer’s responsibility to dispose of all packing materials, including pallets. Items transported on a pallet will be delivered to a ground-floor or front-door location only. It is the customer's responsibility to move delivered items from the ground-floor or front-door location into the premises. It is also the customer's responsibility to ensure furniture items will fit through any doorways, staircases and lifts prior to ordering. A white-glove furniture delivery service is available at an additional cost. To find out more about this service, please contact us.
FREIGHT CHARGES :
To check freight charges for your location before placing an order, use the Estimate Shipping tool on the individual product pages or at checkout for a total quote, or contact us. Depending on the item/s and the delivery location, in some circumstances unusually high freight charges may be incurred. If we are unable to reach a delivery solution with the customer, Living By Design reserves the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund to the customer.
FURNITURE RETURNS :
BEFORE THE ITEM HAS BEEN DISPATCHED :
If you cancel your order before it’s been dispatched, we offer a store credit to the same value as the purchase price. But you’ll need to act fast! Call our Customer Service team on (08) 8399 1250 as soon as possible to cancel your order.
AFTER THE ITEM HAS BEEN DISPATCHED :
If we’ve already dispatched your order and you decide to cancel or change your mind on the items, you must return the item/s to our Adelaide Warehouse. You will be responsible for the return shipping cost + $100 manual warehouse handling fee. Please note that the items must be unopened and returned in their full original packaging. Once the goods have been received in good order at our Warehouse, we will issue a 75% store credit of the original item value, less all shipping + handling costs.

HOW TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE AN ITEM :
Provided you have not assembled your item or removed the packaging, simply email our team to notify them of your change of mind. We’ll get in touch with you as soon as possible to start the process. If your change-of-mind return is approved, you will need to return the items/s to our Adelaide Warehouse in original packaging at your own cost. Please note that we’re unable to issue REFUNDS for change-of-mind returns.

We really like the Salt & Pepper Mala armchair we bought from Living Design. The product was exactly like the images. It came in a big box, all put together. It looks great and the leather feels really soft.

Chair took two attempts to be delivered but ultimately was delivered faster than was expected and without major hiccup. The chair came fully assembled which we appreciate from a solid quality perspective. No marks to the timber or hide. Chair is exactly as described. There’s is plenty of padding to make it a comfortable occasional chair with narrow dimensions for our small living space.
